Once a Room Seeker submits a booking request, their credit card is authorized (not charged) for the Deposit shown in the Listing plus a Seeker Fee in an amount equivalent to 8% of the Accommodation’s monthly rent.
When the request is approved by the Room Provider, the Room Seeker’s credit card is charged. Three days after move-in, Roomdock retains the 8% Seeker Fee and releases the Deposit funds to the Room Provider minus a Provider Fee in an amount equivalent to 10% of the Accommodation’s monthly rent.
On a Room Provider’s first Listing, this release process can take up to one week. For all subsequent Listings, the release process only takes up to 3 days.
Most banks deposit payouts into your bank account as soon as they are received, though some may take a few extra days to make them available.
In every situation, Roomdock allows Room Seekers to cancel their approved booking at no charge within 24 hours of approval by the Room Provider. In addition, Roomdock allows Room Providers to choose one of the three cancellation policies for their Listing:
